During the 23rd International Conference on Radionuclide Metrology (ICRM 2023 – Bucharest, Romania, March 27-31, 2023), Xavier Mougeot was awarded the Hubbell 2023 prize, by the international journal “Applied Radiation and Isotopes” ( Elsevier). This award recognizes an outstanding contribution to the field of radiation science, with the nature of the research being recognized as leading.

The awarded work of X. Mougeot concerns his theoretical developments on beta decays (from which his BetaShape code comes), their impact in metrology and on several fundamental research themes, as well as on the improvement of nuclear decay data .

During the ceremony, X. Mougeot wanted to include his students and colleagues:

High-level work can only be achieved in a great working environment, with a patient lab manager and brilliant researchers who push you beyond what you thought were your limits.
